What is warfare worship

We are not kings and priests in the same way that a middle aged businessman is the poobah of some fraternal order or other. Nor are we kings and priests in the way that earthly rulers with what we call real physical power are kings and priests. We are kings and priests by virtue of our identity with Jesus Christ, the great king and the only priest. Skip to content.

Yet he defeated Goliath, led Israel in victory, and slew the enemy nations that came against them. David shows us that worship and warfare are not opposed to each other, but are actually connected. But through David we also get a glimpse into how worship impacts the spiritual battle that we are in.

Do you remember when King Saul was being tormented by an evil spirit? David would play on his harp, and the demon would stop tormenting Saul see 1 Samuel I believe that as we give sincere worship to God—both in our lifestyles and in our songs of praise—it is impacting the spiritual realm around us.

Praise shifts the spiritual atmosphere and repels demons. Worship magnifies the Lord, releases His light, and dispels darkness. I cannot recommend this book highly enough if you would like to learn more about how powerful worship and praise can be with the Lord when you do it right in the middle of any type of severe adversity you may be going through.

So you can have some of the main verses on worship and praise right at your fingertips for this article, here are some main verses once again from our Bible on how God does wants us to worship and praise Him. As you can see from the very intense wording of some of these verses, God does want us to be able to worship and praise Him.

And nothing will touch the heart of God more than if you start to worship and praise Him right in the middle of a severe storm cloud. And from there, they will have to try and make sure they do not get mad at God, or stay mad at Him for any extended period of time. If you are forced to face and engage with a heavier type of storm cloud in this life, and you may have to stay in that trial for a certain period of time, it would be our very strong recommendation that you worship and praise the Lord from time to time right in the middle of that bad trial — even if you are mad at God at the moment, or you do not feel like doing it due to the raw and negative emotions you are still experiencing.

Once you go into that worship and praise mode with the Lord, the Holy Spirit could then rise up in you, and all of a sudden you will feel His peace and joy start to run through you. And once you feel the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit start to run through you, then you will realize that God really does have all of your problems in the palm of His hand and that He will help you handle it and get through it.

And from there, were not too mad at God to continue to worship and praise Him. If you were not aware that you could worship and praise the Lord right in the middle of a severe trial, or right in the middle of spiritual warfare where you are attempting to deliver someone from demons, I will leave you with two pieces of advice on this.

If you are attempting to deliver someone from demons, then you will definitely want to add the element of worshiping and praising the Lord from time to time — especially if the Holy Spirit leads you to do so right in the middle of a deliverance.

There have been documented cases of demons being completely expelled out of a person once the deliverance team started to worship and praise the Lord right in the middle of the actual deliverance.

The reason worship and praise is so powerful and so effective is because Satan and his demons absolutely hate it every time they see Christians worshiping and praising the Lord. Satan wanted all of that kind of worship for himself when he was up in heaven. And every time He sees one of us doing this with the Lord, it is a constant reminder of his own defeat with the Lord and his own expulsion out of heaven.

Go ahead and start to worship and praise the Lord in the way and manner that is most comfortable for you and your deliverance team and stay with it as long as the Holy Spirit will lead. Sometimes this will either drive the demons right out of the person, or it will severely weaken them so that when you do go back into the battle, they will be much easier to cast out. Also, if you can, try and get the person who has the demons on the inside of them to join along with you.

But if they do not want to do so, or they are not comfortable in doing it, do not force it on them. Just explain to them what you are doing and why you are doing it, and then tell them to just sit back and relax, and enjoy the music and the worship and praise that you will be doing with the Lord. Again, this will drive the demons right through the roof when you start to do this with the Lord — and some of them, if not all of them, could easily come right out of that person right in the middle of you worshiping and praising the Lord.

Again, the second area where you can use worship and praise as a warfare tool is right in the middle of any kind of personal trial that you may be going through on your end. You have to stay fully surrendered and fully connected to the Lord so He can continue to help you get through the trial. If you bail out on the Lord, you will pull away and disconnect from the one and only Person who can help you get through this trial.

And do not be surprised if from time to time you all of a sudden get a very strong leading from the Holy Spirit to want to start to worship and praise the Lord. If you do, I would strongly recommend that you go with that leading, even if your hurt and wounded emotions do not feel like doing it.

If you do, and you let go to do this with the Lord, you will really touch Him because He will see that you are doing everything you can on your end to stay very close to Him, and that you are fighting through some very raw emotions to even want to do this with Him in the first place.

Again, you will touch the very heart of God if you can learn how to worship and praise Him right through the worst and most trying times of your life. This is very powerful stuff!!!! Once you read this kind of a book with all of the incredible testimonies in it, you will be totally convinced that worship and praise with the Lord can also be used in personal trials and even when delivering people from demons. God not only loves to be worshiped and praised right in the middle of a church service, but He also loves to be worshiped and praised right through the most trying of times in your life.

God is passionate about Kingdom advancement. He desires for us to take territory the enemy has had dominion over. We are all part of a spiritual battle against the principalities of darkness. Complacency is not a fruit of the Spirit for a reason — we are called to move forward, take new ground, and step out to see people encounter God. The enemy exists as a training ground to prepare us for eternity. In order to advance, we have to go to battle. In order to battle, we need weapons.

Our music is one of those weapons.
