What kind of tree does rafiki live in

These trees are endemic to the African savannah, and can be found in over 30 countries in the continent. The tree has adapted to the dry and arid climate and uses its bulbous trunk to store the water it absorbs during the rainy season. Come summer, the baobab uses this water reserve to produce fruit, which are packed with nutrients and anti-oxidants. Baobabs have been used by humans and animals for centuries, probably more. The tree provides shelter, food and water in the testing climate, which gives it its nickname, the Tree of Life.

The bark can be used to make clothes and ropes, and the seed jam-packed full of nutrients, like six times more vitamin C than oranges are used to make cosmetics and medicinal supplements. They even have a natural shelf life of three years. The leaves of the baobab are rich in iron and are a great substitute for spinach, just like the seeds can be substituted for coffee. They can also be made into jam or fermented to make beer, and seedlings have taproots that can substiture carrots.

The trunks, once hollowed out, can be used as shelter. There have been reports of baobab trunks being used as jails, bush pubs and post offices. All in all, the baobab tree has over uses. It can live for more than five thousand years, even in the most arid places, storing water in its wide trunk and producing fruits in dry seasons.

The tree strives where everything else dies, because of its high level of adaptability to an extremely rough environment. What can you learn about it? Adapt yourself to the environment in which you live, not to fade in but to stand out. Find within you the things that are missing in others, in the world, and invest in them.

Store knowledge and skills and excellence and produce work that is highly rich in what only you can bring.

Never stop growing, no matter the circumstances and always seek higher levels of excellence. The tree provides shelter for animals, water in times of drought, and nest sites for birds… The Baobab fruit is extremely rich in nutrient; especially in Vitamin C and fiber. African women harvest the fruit and produce derivative health and beauty products, thereby enhancing nutrition and fostering rural development.

Rafiki's tree appears briefly at the start of the film when Kion and Bunga run past it whilst playing Baobab Ball. Rafiki's tree makes occasional appearances in the series, which takes place after Return of the Roar.
